Scandinavia is a new residential district designed for  New Moscow. It is surrounded by a forest park and connected with other residential areas by a pedestrian alley running through  the middle of the site.

The masterplan of the district is based on a system of streets of different status and purpose, forming a quarterly urban development with a clear perimeter and active first floors. The central street of the district is a shopping street, and the first floors of all adjacent buildings are occupied by retail spaces and shops.

In the north-south direction, the shopping street is crossed by two residential streets. Here the ground floors are occupied by apartments with separate entrances and adjacent plots. The quarters are wrapped by galleries, which allow the courtyards to remain private and safe along with emphasising street entrances.
