The Jewish Community Center is a project aimed to rehabilitate and extend the old building of the historically significant Majori synagogue.

Along with preserving the most significant part of the old building (the entrance triple volume), the new project complements the synagogue with a wide range of functions for creating a successful and sustainable community centre. The renewed centre acquires a cafe, a memory space, a library, a conference hall, a kindergarten, staff and rental apartments, an underground parking, etc. and becomes fully accessible to people with physical disabilities and special needs.

A minimalist contemporary design of the new parts of the building inherits materials of the old synagogue’s facades and develops a unique image with spacious concrete and glass surfaces, ceramic bricks, corten steel and wooden details.
