The Jewish Community Center is a project aimed to rehabilitate and extend the old building of the historically significant Majori synagogue.

Following the location of the original building on the site and a very dense functional program, the new building acquired a complex navigational system. The project proposes retaining the existing entrances as well as organising additional ones for different functional zones — each with its own pre-entrance zone with benches, plants, and small architectural features.

Fronting the complex are a large public square and a memorial alley, green space with corten steel panels suitable for installations about the history of Jews in Latvia and Jurmala. The complex backyard combines several public facilities like a Mikve, a kindergarten and an office space. All open spaces are designed in a way that complements the building and extends its facade with expansive concrete surfaces, custom street furniture, and decorative corten steel details.
